About Awbit
What we built, and what happens when it fails
In Nigeria, buying a verification code or a light-bill token usually means finding a vendor, paying first and hoping. On Awbit the price is on the screen before your balance moves, and a failed order reverses itself into your wallet. The rare one a provider refuses to cancel is settled by hand.

Order re-check loop
The story
What you can check yourself
Every vendor says they are experienced, including the ones who take the money on WhatsApp and stop replying, so here is what you can check from inside the account instead.
Every open order is re-checked against its provider on a five-minute schedule, whether or not you are watching the page. Every wallet movement, top-up, purchase, refund or bonus, is written to your transaction history against the order that caused it, and it stays there. Have an order fail, then go and look.
Five services run on one naira balance: virtual numbers, gift cards, travel eSIM data, social boosting, and airtime, data, TV and electricity. Whatever you do not spend on an eSIM is still sitting there for a gift card.
Mechanics
How the money behaves here
₦1,000 buys ₦1,000
Airtime and bills sell at face value.
You see the account holder's name before you pay
Meter and smart-card numbers are checked with the provider first, so the name on the account comes back to you before any money leaves the wallet.
Refunds
A failed order, or a number that expires without a code, reverses itself into your wallet and shows up in your transaction history with the order number on the credit. Once in a while a provider refuses our cancel request, and that one has to be settled by hand. When it happens, we email you.
Read the wallet like a bank statement
Every deposit, purchase, refund and bonus is written down against the order or reference that caused it, permanently.
Your wallet
Every order is re-checked against its provider every few minutes
Every kobo tracked
Every top-up, purchase, refund and bonus is written to your transaction history and stays there. A purchase or refund carries its order number; a top-up carries the deposit reference you paid against.
You only spend what you funded
The wallet is prepaid. Nothing can be charged in the background, and every price shows in naira before you confirm the order.
When an order doesn't deliver
The charge reverses to your wallet on its own. Once in a while a provider refuses our cancel request and the reversal cannot run. Send us that order number and we settle it by hand.
Nobody here can read your password
It's hashed before it's stored.
See it for yourself
The account is free, and nothing leaves the wallet until you buy something. Start with a small top-up and one order.
